I have used TT online for many years. Just realized I f'ed up my rental and converted it to personal use, when it was actually vacant. I should have been taking depreciation etc. I now have to change 2019-20-21. I had to download the desktop version to do 2019.
It is making me download the state as well which I may not eve need. I am trying to see if I "converted it personal use" in 2019. I have 2 states and it downloaded the NJ forms fine, but is hanging up on SC and wants to charge me $45 for it. I don't even need to do SC because it's not part of the problem. I may not even need NJ because I might not be changing anything.
Can't I see the fed without downloading the state forms too??
I have the returns and forms saved from 2019, just trying to see if I checked that box when it asked me about the rental in 2019. In 2020 it isn't asking me about that property, so I think it got removed right when I started in 2020, but I was hoping it (the rental property) would still be there to recover
Yes, you can download just the federal and skip the state returns until after you have finished the federal. You can download them then if you need.
