Need a copy of my 2022 tax return (or a transcript of the return) so I can enter my prior year AGI

Yes, you will need your 2022 AGI to validate your 2023 e-file signature. If you used TurboTax last year, you will see this information as soon as you log into your account. 

 

If you used TurboTax last year, but don't see your AGI, you can recover your account. Follow this link for help with that.

 

If you have a copy of last year's return, you can just look at line 11 on your Form 1040.

 

If you didn't use TurboTax last year, and you didn't keep a copy of your tax return for your own records, you can ask the IRS what you AGI was for last year. Follow this link to get started.
