My Turbotax Business Desktop software has completed my state form 2024 NH BT-Summary incorrectly and it will not allow me to edit the mistake. What now?

In section 2 of the form there is the question "Are you required to file a BPT return (Gross Business Income over $103,000)?" and the turbotax software answers "yes" and then goes on to list the business income as less than $103,000. It will not let me edit the answer to "no". Any ideas on how to correct this?

The New Hampshire Business Profits Tax form will only be generated if your entries in the Federal Taxes tab reflects gross business income of anything more than $103,000.  If your business gross receipts are less than $103,000, then this form will not populate.

I recommend going back into the Federal Taxes tab, select Income, and then select Update to the right of Sales and service receipts.  Review your input here to ensure your gross receipts are reported correctly.

Once you have confirmed your entry here, click on the State Taxes tab.  As you proceed through the interview screens, as long as you are below the filing requirements, the New Hampshire Business Profits tax form will not populate.  However, if the gross receipts exceed the threshold, you will be required to complete the form as you are now within the filing threshold amounts.
