My spouse died before the income tax check arrived therefore he is unable to sign. Bank will not let me deposit. What do I do?

I am sorry for your loss.

You can go to your bank with the check and a copy of the death certificate and see if they will deposit or cash it.

If the bank will not, then you will need to send a Form 1310 to the IRS and have them reissue the check in your name only.
