My return seems larger than normal and now I got a letter that says the IRS is verifying its accuracy. Should I be concerned that I made a mistake?

Until you know what the IRS is looking at or found there is nothing much you can do so don't worry too much ... however in the meantime compare the 2017 & 2018 returns side by side to see what is not looking right.
