It's not unusual for state returns to remain in pending status several days after the federal return has already been accepted. This is especially common when e-filing first opens in January or early February.

My return - submitted electronically in January - has been 'validating' for almost 3 months. I wonder if the state of Missouri is taking advantage of the interest laws to delay issuing smaller refunds (less than $300) for as long as possible. Glad to be moving to Texas.
My return was submitted electronically at the beginning of February and is still “being validated” the Missouri website says it can take 12 weeks for this step. Absolutely ridiculous. My return is a little over $400 and it doesn’t seem to be going any quicker.
I noticed your response is from last year; however, the exact same thing is true for me this years filing!

@tammyeld It means that Missouri accepted your return as it was filed and didn't make any changes to it.
