I just spent 3 hours on hold with the IRS for the exact same situation. I was told there is a glitch in the system with 2nd stimulus and because I used Turbo tax to file 2019 taxes,  my stimulus went to them. IRS told me to contact turbo tax to see if they would be depositing the $$ into my acct, or if turbo tax would reject the payment. If turbo tax rejects the payment it can take up to 6 weeks for the $$ to make its way back to me.

I am having the same issue. No deposit yet and my SSN is the last four numbers as well on the IRS site. How can that even happen?

I am seeing the same thing and freaking out.  I see so many theories out there as to what this means.  One is that a check is being mailed, the other is that its a debit card being mailed.  Third is that the money is going to a Turbo Tax account if you chose to have your tax prep fees taken out of your refund and then had Turbo Tax send you the remainder.  I don't know if this means Turbo Tax has to then send us the refund or if it gets rejected and sent back to the IRS who then will cut a check.  It's super annoying to not know where the hell the money is.

That’s what I’m wondering. Is it like with taxes? Does it go through turbo tax and then to us? The fact that we don’t have a place to get answers is really frustrating. Especially for those of us who need it

If you paid with refund the money will go to the third party bank account, not to TurboTax.  Then that bank will reject the deposit and send it back to the IRS.  Then the IRS will issue a paper check or a debit card and mail it to the taxpayer.

@yankeefan21181 so currently as of now, they are saying anticipate your payment by paper check in the mail in 4-6 weeks. If you opted to pay your filing fees out of your refund then a lot of our payments went to the 3rd party pass through bank that intuit has your refund deposited into to take their filing fees before depositing your remaining refund into your personal account. Intuit won't automatically send the payments to your personal account, so they've been rejecting them and sending back to the IRS. H&R Block customers have been having the same issue,  but they've been sending their customers payments directly to their personal account they provided when they filed. Unfortunately for us, Green Dot rejected intuit payments so now we have to wait out the 4-6 weeks. It has been said that IRS, Intuit and Green Dot have been working together to possibly come up with a solution to try and resend payments to everyone's correct personal account to get them sooner than waiting for check by mail. But there's no guarantee so basically just expect to receive your payment by mail next month or so. So the upside to this is, your payment isn't lost (if that makes you feel any better). Either the IRS has it after it was rejected and sent back. Or Green Dot has it waiting for it to be sent back to IRS (I've heard it could take up to 48 hrs to be sent back after they reject it). So the obvious downside is the waiting game as to when we'll actually receive it. Let's all hope they figure this out and get them reissued asap. Or at least keep us in the loop about what to expect instead of not saying anything like they did with this initial issue and having everyone panic. It sucks bad enough we've waited this long for so little payment and now a lot of us have an even longer wait with no info at all.

@Gracelyn74 I'm wondering what the actual process is behind TurboTax allowing their bank to send our payments to us instead of rejecting them back to the IRS? I've heard its against the law for them to forward treasury payments anywhere else other than back to them. But H&R Block filers we're affected by the same glitch but they actually did deposit their customers payments into their personal accounts that they provided when they filed their return. And they obviously told you to ask TurboTax to forward the funds to you, so maybe they really are allowed to and TurboTax just opted not to? Idk...I've seen a lot of people saying TurboTax told them that its IRS rule to reject it, send back and they will re-issue to the designated payee.

The TurboTax Blog | It's all about the refund (intuit.com)

We have been working tirelessly on a solution with the Treasury and the IRS. As a result, our expectation now is that within days the error will be corrected and stimulus payments will begin being deposited into the correct bank accounts. We have also re-confirmed with the IRS that they have all of the correct banking information for our customers.
