My husband passed away in September 2015 and was included on my taxes for 2015. I will now file single. Do I open a new TurboTax account? Will prior info follow me?

So sorry to hear of the loss of your husband.

Who was primary on your account? If it was your husband, then yes, you should create a new account and not import your data from last year.

If you were primary, then after the program has imported last year's data, go to the Personal Info tab at the top left of the screen, and on the Personal Info Summary page, edit your filing status to Widowed.

So that you don't lose your old tax returns, though, make sure that you download copies to your computer before you forget your joint account's username and password. It's amazing how often you need the old information.
