My fiancé is 28 and has never filed his taxes. What are the first steps he needs to take? He shouldn’t owe anything. He had his first job in 2014.

He does not have his old W2’s from his employers from 2014-2016. Will he need these?

Yes, in order to file tax returns you have to know the income and withholding. He can get a transcript from the IRS or Social Security. Please see the links below. 

He will also need programs from 2014,2015 and 2016.

 

This must be on  the desktop version, not the online version.
