My federal return reject and Turbotax have this message "This return cannot be electronically filed due to a processing error on Form 8960, Net Investment Income Tax. At this time we do not have an estimate for when the problem will be resolved."

"This return cannot be electronically filed due to a processing error on Form 8960, Net Investment Income Tax. At this time we do not have an estimate for when the problem will be resolved."

Is this my fault or TurborTax fault?
If it is TurborTax error, do I just wait or file on other place?

This is an error in the IRS business rule. They expect to have the issue resolved by February 5. You can try to e-file again after that date. For more information please see the below link.

I'm having the same problem as well, and unsure what to do.

ok - I got  same error, and filed on Feb 16.  Turbo Tax program states this issue will be resolved by Feb 19 and to re-file then (this post states it was supposed to be fixed by Feb 5). However, how would I know if it indeed got resolved or when it is actually resolved? Do I simply re-file and wait to see if it is accepted or rejected (trial and error). Or will Turbo Tax check if IRS fixed issue before re-file?

You can double-check the information at the link posted above prior to filing to see if the error has been resolved.  If for some reason, it happens to still be unresolved by your filing, you will be notified via Rejection.
