My direct deposit information seems no to be available? The Stimulus payment website says it needs that information? I did a direct deposit for 2018 so why is it needed?

If you filed a 2018 return and received a refund via direct deposit and your banking information has not changed, you do not need to do anything.  Your stimulus will be deposited to the account on file if you are eligible to receive a stimulus payment.

The IRS is committed to helping you get your Economic Impact Payment as soon as possible. The payments also referred to by some as stimulus payments, are automatic for most taxpayers. No further action is needed by taxpayers who filed tax returns in 2018 and 2019 and most seniors and retirees.

See if you are eligible for an Economic Impact Payment.

If you are eligible, use our guide to figure out which IRS tool you should use to get your payment.

I suppose that does not give you much choice. I guess that because I am eligible and have not had a deposit waiting is the only option.
