My amended tax return says accepted, do I still need to submit it myself?

Do you mean you amended a STATE return---a Maryland return?   And it says "accepted?"  Per this FAQ, you need to print, sign, and mail an amended MD return if you use TurboTax.  Maybe you are still seeing "accepted" for the original state return.
