My account number is incorrect for my direct deposit

I was told by my bank you can have thtold it’s send it to you and then turbo can deposit the money in my account

Yes they did, and the IRS is saying they can’t change the information. It was supposed to be deposited on Thursday but wasn’t because my account number was off by one number

They can't change it because it was already approved (posted) for a deposit date. However, they will have to issue you a paper check via mail now.

If the bank information you provided is listed incorrectly, a closed or invalid account, and your return gets accepted the IRS will issue you a refund check via mailIf the return hasn't already posted to our system, you can ask the IRS to stop the direct deposit. You may contact them at 1-800-829-1040, Monday - Friday, from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

However, if your return gets rejected you can update this information by completing the following steps:

  • Sign in to TurboTax account
  • Click on Take me to my return button
  • Click on the File tab and go through the screens, to update your direct deposit information.
