One of your returns will be rejected -- or maybe both---- but there is no telling which one will be accepted/rejected first. Millions of people have e-filed and put their returns on servers and are waiting for the IRS to begin accepting/rejecting them. Watch your emails.
When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say that your return was submitted. The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected. If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.
As for who should/could claim your daughter------was she a full-time student in 2021? If not, did she have more than $4300 of income in 2021--not counting any Social Security?
