My 2021 return check was sent to a wrong account number. Tracked my check to CiVista bank and was told today they will return my check to IRS, they will send to me

Turbo sent my return to a wrong account number 
It's  been awful between the Bank & IRS my check been bouncing around cyber world it's been sent to many but not to me

what routing and bank account number is on your tax return?  THAT is where the IRS should have sent it, unless you requested that your  fees be netted from your tax return.... in that case it went to Greendot Bank, where the fees were removed and then the remainer was to be sent to the account number listed on your tax return.

Why is civista bank on my tax return?
 
If you chose a Refund Transfer you will not see your bank account and routing numbers - but the account and routing numbers of Civista Bank on your Form 1040 PDF. Civista Bank, upon receipt of funds from the IRS, will deposit the funds into the bank account provided by you.
 
However, if the choose to refuse the deposit for any reason the refund is returned to the IRS and the IRS will convert the refund to a paper check mailed to the address on the tax return.  This conversion can take several weeks to happen.
