My 1099div has my recipient state locked as WA… i do not live there yet it is holding up my entire return. Please help

Only thing I can think of is:

Delete that 1099-DIV and re-enter it manually.

 

DO not take a picture, do not upload a PDF.

 

IF you load a picture or upload a PDF, the software will try to put all kinds of useless stuff in there.

SteamTrain is correct.  Delete and re-enter by hand.

 

Delete the 1099-DIV and start over.  Click on the Delete trashcan.  See here.

 

 

Follow these steps:

 

• Down the left side of the screen, click on Federal.
• Down the left side of the screen, click on Wages & Income.
• Scroll down to Investments and Savings.  Click Show more to the right.
• Click Start / Revisit to the right of Dividends on 1099-DIV.
• At the screen Your investments and savings, Click Add investments.
• At the screen Let's import your tax info, click Enter a different way.
• At the screen OK, let's start with one investment type, select Dividends.  Click Continue.
• At the screen How would you like to upload, select Type it in myself.
• Enter 1099-DIV information.
• Click Continue.
