Line 76a of the 1040 Form 'self-populated' to say that I want $0 refunded (i.e., the entire refund is currently applied to next year's taxes). How can I fix this?

I paid already, but have not yet e-filed.

You can go back to the section for this topic as long as you haven't e-filed -
  • Log into your account and click Take Me to My Return
  • Choose Federal Taxes (or Personal if using Self Employed full version)
  • Select Other Tax Situations
  • Scroll down to Additional Tax Payments
  • Select Apply Refund to Next Year
  • Proceed through the prompts and change your selection (change the amount you currently have applied to $0 and this will give you back your refund)
