Letter 6419. If I enter both amounts on each letter received twice like Turbo Tax ask... This is double the amount we actually received?

Both spouse and I recved same lrt with same amounts.  Why enter twice the amount we actually received?

You are correct, in that you should not enter twice the amount of the Advanced Child Tax Credit that you and your spouse received.  It is not clear why the IRS apparently sent each of you what appears to be an identical letter.  However, your perspective is correct.  Just enter the actual amount of the Advanced Child Credit that you received.
