If you get the IRS letter saying you need to verify your return-do not do it online. We got the letter 2 weeks ago and did it online, and it said everything was verified. This past Friday I went into our irs account and it said we still needed to verify. So, I did it all again, and got the same message that all was verified. Well, today I decided to call the number on the letter to make sure we were all verified, and sure enough, she has to verify me again. So, save yourself the time and just call. You will need your 2022 W2 and your 2023 Adjusted gross income and refund amount when you call. Hope this helps someone not waste weeks waiting.
