Last years tax return, finally got change address form

Filed jan 30th 2020 I just got a letter this week about my address and needs to be changed.  They held 6700$ for 13 months, and didn't even file it until after November because I had a rejected federal refund this year(had to put zero as agi last year)

There were notes telling me if they filed ur return after November 2021 put 0 i did and was accepted.  What do I get for having to wait for my money

IRS will gladly pay interest on your money.  Actually it is automatic, even thought it might come in a separate check.

A long-standing law requires the IRS to pay interest to those who received their tax refunds late — notably 45 days after the typical filing date of April 15.  The interest refund checks aren't necessarily a big windfall of money in your pocket, but you can still make the most of the extra cash.
