Just wondering about the fees taken out of my refund.

I knew I was going to be paying the Turbo Tax fees out of my refund, but I couldn't remember the total amount.  I was thinking it was around $66 or something.  Just got my federal tax refund posted to my bank account and it was $106.49 less than my total refund amount, so I was just wondering what all that amount was for.  Thank you!

Many are not aware that if you choose to have your payment taken out of your refund,  then a refund processing fee of $34.99 will be charged by the bank that handles the transaction. This can raise the amount of fees that are taken out of the return. You can also see what fees were charged by:

  • Logging back into your account. Click on Take me to my return  and then click on "My Account" near the top right of your screen
  • Select "Tools" from the dropdown menu
  • Press the "My Fees" button to see a detail of your charges

Ok, that sort of answers my question, but as for selecting "tools" and "my fees", when I am logged in to my account and click on "My Account", "Tools" isn't even in the drop down window so I can't click on that or "My Fees". Not available for everybody???
