Just received my W2 from my second job, I was trying to amend my return and as a result it amends my federal return but do not amend my state return? What can be wrong?

Can it be because the state ID of my first employer is different from the employer on my another W2? And is it better to amend my return now or after receiving my before-amendment return?

If the return was already filed, you will need to wait until it has been processed and you have received your refund or confirmation that any tax due was paid. (If you file an amended return while your first return is being processed, it can cause extended delays for both returns)
