Just another person unable to get the free filing for military to work by the looks of it... gone through all the info in the return to no avail. What can I do?

Title basically. We have all the necessary info/disclosures and it's still trying to charge me. Never had this issue before and by the looks of it quite a few people are having the same issue. Is this going to get addressed by Turbotax at all? How do we move forward in this case?

To ensure that you get the military discount, review your entries in the personal info section. 

  1. Open TurboTax
  2. Select the dropdown by My info and select Edit
  3. Select  Edit under Personal Profile and check your entries
  4. Make sure that you indicate your military status as of December 31, 2023?
  5. Make sure that you entered your highest military pay grade in 2023
  6. Enter an answer for combat zone or hazardous duty area did you serve in during 2023
  7. Select a state and select Assignment detail

On the next screen you will see the message: Yes! You qualify for our enlisted military discount.
