It has been over 48 hours. I filed on 1/29/2020 and my tax return still shows pending. The IRS has not acknowledged it.

@antp1976  I filed the same day also and when I check wmr it tells me I am not putting in the correct info they have on file to please try again. What is wmr saying for you?

E-filed returns generally sit in Pending status for 24-48 hours before coming back as either Accepted or Rejected. Sometimes state returns stay in Pending for several days or even longer.
