So are you saying that you didn't save a separate copy of the original tax data file before you amended it?   If not, then the changes you made in preparing the amended return overwrote the original data file.

Normally when amending, it's recommended to make a copy of the original data file, and to use the copy of the file to prepare the amended return, so that you would have both the original and the amended versions for your records.

You can still go into Forms Mode to view the return pages and get the worksheets, or you can go the Print Center to print or make PDFs of the return and worksheets.  But if you made changes in any of those topics, it will be the amended versions, not the original ones.

You could get a free transcript of your efiled return from the IRS.  It depends on how recently you efiled.  Processing at the IRS takes 2-4 weeks normally before a transcript would be available.

An actual copy of the return from the IRS costs $50 and takes several weeks.

What tax year are you referring to?  The current 2017 return or earlier?

What product are you using?  By your screen name above it shows you are using desktop Deluxe for Windows (CD/download).  Is that correct, or did you indicate the wrong product when you asked the question?  Or are you referring to Online TurboTax?

What do you mean by "I cannot get into my return?"  What are you experiencing?
