Is it possible to prevent TurboTax/Intuit from snatching a copy of my tax returns when I efile?

e-File with a different tax service provider.

If you are using desktop software, the tax files are only stored on your own hard drive or any backup devices you use like a flash drive.  They are not stored online with TurboTax.
