Yes. Pending simply means that your e-filed return is on its way and that the government hasn't accepted or rejected it yet.
If you e-filed your return before February 12, it'll stay in Pending status until the IRS starts processing the backlog of returns.
After that, e-filed returns generally sit in Pending status for 24–48 hours before coming back as either Accepted or Rejected. Sometimes state returns stay in Pending for several days or even longer.

I filed my taxes on Jan 24. I did not opt for the advance just a regular e-file direct deposit usually in 21 days. I have read comments where other patrons returns have already been accepted by the IRS. I'm just wondering if it has been more than 48 hours since I submitted my paperwork and e-filed through turbo tax why hasn't my return been accepted by the IRS.
The timing of the acceptance of your return is dependent on the IRS. Turbo Tax does not have any control over when your return will be accepted. They will accept the return as soon as they are able to verify all information regarding the return.
