Is it a must to send supporting documents with 1040X (amended 2017 tax returns)?

Hi

I claimed my brother as a dependent on my 2016 and 2017 tax returns. However I didn't mention he was disabled to get the earned income tax credit ! He has had mental disability and couldn't work for many years including 2016 and 2017!! He lived with me and supported him for 2016 and 2017!!!

Now, I am amending my 2016 and 2017 taxes to get the earned income tax credit on my dependent(brother).

Along with the 1040X, Is it a must that I send a letter from his doctor explaining he had disability and couldn't work? or do I simply send the 1040X form?

Also on 2017 tax return I only reported the numbers of 1 of the 2 1095-A I received from the health insurance marketplace. On this 1040X I am reporting the second 1095-A! Should I also send a copy of this 1095-A?

Thank you

You can send supporting docs for the disability although not really required  however do send the additional 1095-A form.
