NJ didn't start issuing refunds until March 1, so it's really only been 6 weeks.

Processing of electronic returns typically takes a minimum of 4 weeks. Processing of paper tax returns typically takes a minimum of 12 weeks.

NJ has had my electronically filed return since 2/20 so glad I paid to file electronically what a waste of time and money as it is now 5/4 and it still only states processing on the site!

It would be taking even longer if you filed by mail, and you risk having someone at the NJ tax office keying it in incorrectly.

processing is faster if you apply some money to next year , I think. I got my refund in less than two weeks.
