IRS Accepted RETURN on February 11th. It’s March 9th and still no return. My WMR has no status bar and just says still processing! No CREDITS..Simple W2 filed per usual

No EITC credits or children.. Simple W2 filed/SINGLE.  I was eligible for the $600 recovery rebate since I never received the 2nd stimulus.  Is this causing the delay!?

The IRS started processing electronically filed income tax returns on a first in, first out basis February 12, 2021. The refunds maybe delayed for taxpayers claiminig earned income tax credit (EITC).  Single taxpayers with no dependents may qualify for earned income tax credit if the adjusted gross income is $15,820 or less during 2020..

You can check the IRS website under Refunds tab to check the status of your return

Only the IRS controls when and if a tax refund is Approved and Sent.

Call the IRS:  1-800-829-1040  hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday

When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.

So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info).  Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.

Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".

Then press 3 "for all other questions."

Then press 2 "for all other questions."

- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don’t enter anything.

- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.

Then press 2 and then 4 …

It should then transfer you to an agent.
