Interest on returns

I filed my return on feb 15. Wasps told it was being held for review because the amount I had file was different than my employers amount. Was told to wait the review will start March 30. They found absolutely nothing wrong which I knew that. I just checked they will be sending my refund this week. But am I owed interest on the days that were delayed because of the review.

The IRS may pay you interest if they send your refund later than 45 days from the filing deadline for your return. If you file your return before it is due, the IRS still has 45 days from the deadline - which this year is July 15, 2020.

So, in your case, you will not be paid any interest..
