In TurboTax, I amended my return and uploaded my new documents. Now what? There is nothing saying how to file. Am I to print the 1040X and fill in info manually?

if you followed the process correctly,

Form 1040-X should be complete and ready for filing (e-File or Mail) with no need for any manual changes or additions.

There is no 1040-X anywhere filled in, ready to print, or otherwise in TurboTax (as if I did nothing). I filled in everything correctly as asked going through TurboTax's amending process, but the only evidence I did anything to amend my return is the two uploaded documents I added to amend the return.  Please help if you can.

if there is no 1040-X  then you thought you started amending but the process was not started.

before starting AMEND, you must be looking at your original return as filed.

so the next step would be to back out those documents  and any other changes,

First , Go to "list of forms" and look for "1040-X".

If you want my instructions for this, reply back.

You must have a pdf/printout of the return you originally filed, or a transcript.

I have learned that I cannot e-file in Turbo Tax an amended return in my state. I don't understand why Turbo Tax had me go through all the questions specifically for an amended return (1040-X), as well having me upload two 1099-R forms, just to result in nothing to file, print, or even hand copy numbers - just a bottom line number that I owe $2,750.00.
