In 2023 I filed 2020 1040X. Turbo Tax didn't use the 1095A info from original 1040 filed via Turbo Tax. Today I received letter from IRS they want 8962. What do I do?

Follow the instructions in the letter from the IRS.

With 1040-X you must attach any new or changed forms due to your amendment.

"New" may also mean "missing" if you left something out of your original filing.

Thanks for the reply.

I understand I have to follow the IRS letter.

My concern is that Turbo tax didn't create the proper forms with the amended return from the original 1040 I filed with turbo tax.

So now if I generate a new 8962. that will change the amounts in a couple lines on 1040X.

Do I need to create a new 1040X entirely?

How do I get support from Turbo tax for this issue?

I tried calling their 800 number, but was put in an automated loop and hung up.

If you supply Form 8962 but Form 1040-X does not reflect the impact on your tax, IRS will recalculate your return with the information they have and bill you an additional amount  or send you an additional refund .
