If the refund tracker says approved and gave me a ddd with my full amount, does that mean my refund wasn’t offset and I’ll receive the whole amount?

If you have a balance due on the items listed below, you can expect that refund will be offset. If there are funds remaining after the offset you will a refund of those funds.

  • Past-due federal tax;
  • State income tax;
  • State unemployment compensation debts;
  • Child support;
  • Spousal support; and
  • Federal nontax debt, like student loans

@miahsgirl2010 To expand what jamart2002 mentions, it may take the IRS longer to find offsets against your income.  When your return is first accepted, it doesn't mean that IRS has applied the offsets. This happens during the time your refund is being processed.
