If my tax refund already hit my prepaid card but i never received my turbo tax prepaid card and i requested to be sent a new one will my refund automatically transfer?

If it has already hit the card account, but you did not receive it, more than likely your refund will be mailed via check.  The reason for this, is the IRS has no way of knowing that the account information was changed over after the refund disbursement took place.  And for security reasons, we would not keep that card active in case it ended up somewhere else.

So if the irs doesnt know my account info changed and I never received my card how will they know to send me a check instead? Do i need to get a hold of them. How will I get my state refund if it was suppose to be via prepaid visa card.

If they send it to the account and the account is closed they will get a "notification" and the funds will be returned to them.  This will trigger the paper check.  Your state refund will be handled the same way.

But if they already sent it to my account and the card shows my federal was deposited how will a check be sent. I'm just very confused and wondering when and how I will get my money. Turbo prepaid says another card is on the way since I never received the first one so what happens when the second comes do I activate it or wait for a paper check.

I still do not have my card yet either yet the refund has been deposited to it. I find that extremely odd and I really depended on this and the date it said it would be deposited (which was accurate) however the card is lost in translation...??

My account says my federal was released to my card....I never received the card...I ordered a 2nd card.....waiting on that one now.....I'm so confused

I also never recieved my first card, filed in early march. wait and wait and wait some more. nothing. called every number I could find and its just an automated system that dosnt work or netspend that says they dont have an account for me. Finally find a number to order a new card, been 2 weeks since. And still nothing. I have 3k in my account supposedly justg sitting there that I deperately need. Getting kinda pissed about it.

I filed about a month ago, refund sent to my card on April 7th, still have not received a card. I requested a new one on the 8th...nothing yet. This is ridiculous!! For whomever had to request a second card did it take longer than 7 business days??

I've never been so frustrated in all my life. Once I get my refund, I will never use this again. IRS says they deposited funds to my bank account. Not possible as they were never given bank information.  They were instructed to send it on the card. The card has never arrived. So now what??????

The card that the IRS gave the info to finally arrived on the same day as the card I ordered. BOTH HAVE NO FUNDS. Called Green Dot & they requested a trace number before would research any further. Called the IRS for a trace number. They had no idea what this was. They stated that they will send me a letter for me to complete saying I never received my funds & maybe it will have a trace number,  but they are not sure. The letter can take up to 6 wks, because it is computer generated. From all this run around, looks like it will be time to file my 2018 taxes before this is resolved. Never, ever will use the Green Dot card system again. I will request the IRS mail me a paper check. Even at snail mail, it would have gotten here by now. I am beyond frustrated, annoyed, pissed, angry, mad to name a few of my emotions. I will update more as I get more info.

WORST SERVICE EVER. I WILL NEVER USE THIS AGAIN!! THEY HOLD YOUR MONEY HOSTAGE. MY MONEY WAS SENT TO A CARD THAT THEY NEVER SENT ME AND WON'T LET ME TALK TO SOMEONE ABOUT IT. SOMEYHING IS UP THIS YEAR. THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO MY FIANCE. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHATSOEVER SO THEY MAKE SURE IT CAN'T BE FIXED. IT'S ALMOST LIKE THEY DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO GIVE PEOPLE. I'M YHIMKINH ABPUT REPORTING THEM TO THE B.B.B.

This is a crock of crap. My refund said it has been sent to the card but I have yet to get the card in the mail. I filed in late March. I tried requesting a new one but it's just a crappy automated messenger. They require your social and birth date (no problem there) and then they ask for the last 4 digits of your card. That's where the problem starts. I never got my card so I don't know what the last 4 digits are. After that it hangs up on you

So I had one problem after another  with this company. Very unorganized and not ready to deal with customers. I also did not receive my first card. First of all the app is a joke. It is not user friendly and made me very frustrated! You HAVE to download the app to try and check the status of your card, but you can't even register your account without your card number! HELLO?!! How would I have the card number if I am trying report that it never arrived?!!! The number to call is hard to find, too. Then of course you  go through a long automated system and I think I had to do it a few times until I figured out how I could speak to a real person. The operators are in an call center the Philippines and obviously reading pre written answers off of a screen, so if you have an issue, good luck because they aren't much help. Insist on speaking to a supervisor.  After 30-45minutes of being on hold. More than once!  When I finally got through, they  wanted me to pay a $5 replacement card fee and $15  to have it sent priority mail. (I honestly can't remember the exact amount), but I actually had to get kind of an attitude with them because they do not make it easy for the customer! When I told them I absolutely refused to pay for their mistake, they finally agreed to waive all of the fees. But  the new card was STILL a few days late! AND they have NO TRACKING  on the card when they send it! So they have NO idea where your tax return is or when it will arrive, and neither do you. Unacceptable! I am very disappointed in Turbo Tax and Intuit. I never had these problems when they used NetSpend as their pre-paid card company. Anyway, the bottom line is, you will get your refund, but it takes a LOT of effort and persistence! Don't give up and don't let them give you the runaround. It's YOUR money! I really hope someone from the company reads this (doubtful) but I am considering filing a complaint with the BBB. We have to pay extra for direct deposit on this card and it is extremely unprofessional and unprepared to deal With customers. Sorry for the rant! I hope I helped provide some answers, at least a little.

I also didn't receive my card, and I had to contact turbo pre-paid and report it. It is a terrible site. Not at all user friendly and very poor business practices. I am actually trying to figure out who to contact to file a complaint. I implore turbo tax to go back to netspend.

Has anyone found a number to speak with a person regarding debit card. I have not received my card either. I will never use the debit card again.
