If I submitted information for the IRA that wasn't applicable do I need to amend?

If you submitted incorrect information for your IRA, you may need to amend your tax return. If the error affects your filing status, income, deductions, credits, dependents, or tax liability, then you will need to amend your return using Form 1040-X

There's a difference between not applicable and incorrect.

not applicable attachments will be ignored by the IRS.
