If I haven't filed my Ky state tax yet will that hold up or effect my receiving my Federal? I filed through turbo tax 18 days ago and am still waiting to be approved.

No, the state not being file yet has no bearing on the processing of your federal return. The IRS and your state use separate refunding procedures and schedules, so your returns are processed by different entities. It can range from a few days up to 3 weeks to move to approved status.

Just keep an eye out on Where's My Refund site for the latest status on your federal tax refund. Patience is virtue when dealing with government processing. They provide no further updates to TurboTax once they accept your return.

My return is accepted but still not approved - is there a problem? Should I be worried?
