If you requested DIRECT DEPOSIT that is the way you will get your state return as well.  You may also go to the PENNSYLVANIA website, Pennsylvania.Gov , click on where' s my refund, to get the status of your state refund.

I asked for my Pennsylvania return as a direct deposit.  However, direct deposit is available only if you file online.  I chose direct deposit, but now I cannot unchoose it!   I have to file on paper because I have K-1s that are Federal K-1s.  If all of your K-1s are Pennsylvania K-1s you can file electronically.  If any of your K-1s are not the Pennsylvania version (PA-41) you have to file on paper.  The only exception seems to be for publicly traded limited partnerships.  After I told Turbotax that I want an electronic direct deposit refund, I cannot unclick that choice!

@Caveman1949 You will need to change your direct deposit on the Federal side. The refund option for Federal and State would need to be the same. As the Federal information is transferred to the State.

Please see the directions in the TurboTax FAQ link on how to change your refund method: How do I change my refund method?

I was able to go into over-ride mode and change the refund method to a paper check on the Pennsylvania return.  It is surprising that Turbotax requires both refunds to be either be a check or electronic.  You should be able to do Federal as electronic and State as paper (especially when the state requires a paper return).  Thanks.  Your answer was very helpful though.
