If I file my 2016 return on Jan 10 2017, will it get lost or will the IRS receive it and process after Jan 23 2017?

Your tax return will be in a Pending state until the IRS starts accepting federal tax returns on January 23. TurboTax will send you an email when the return has either been accepted or rejected by the IRS.
