if I claimed my college child and he can not file taxes now how can I do amended return

Is hs return being rejected because he answered incorrectly in MY INFO that no one can claim him as a dependent?  If that is the problem, he needs to change the way he answered that question in MY INFO.  And then he should try to re-file.
