When I select I have received the stimulus checks, my taxes due goes up by $1,800. Should I select I didn't receive the stimulus checks, because I received the recovery rebate? Is TurboTax reading that as I received both the stimulus checks and recovery rebate?
Say that you did not receive the stimulus checks if you received the recovery rebate. If you are amending, you only report the changes. Since you claimed the recovery rebate on the original return, you want to claim it on the amended return as well (so there is no change reported). So, say that you did not receive the stimulus payments so TurboTax leaves the recovery rebate on the original and amended return.
If I select that I haven't received the stimulus checks, it says I am eligible for the recovery rebate, which I already got when I filed the first time (since I didn't get the stimulus checks originally). Will the IRS see I have received the recovery rebate and disregard this? I don't believe I should have to repay the rebate, as I am under the $75,000 limit.

It shows it as a refundable difference from my original return, is that still correct? (Bottom line 15)
It looks like the recovery rebate was not on your original return. Did you claim the recovery rebate on Line 30 of your original return and did they issue you a refund that included the recovery rebate? I am not sure how you received the recovery rebate when it appears that you did not claim it on the original return??
Your net difference should be that you owe the additional tax liability from Line 11.
Yes, I did claim the recovery rebate and it was paid to me already, I am not sure where to find proof of this, but I am positive that I received it as part of my tax refund. Could it be a TurboTax error?
I found it on line 30 of my tax returns, so not sure why TurboTax isn't finding it?
If you are amending your return for reasons other than the Recovery Rebate Credit then your amendment should indicate the same answers for the stimulus questions as your original return. So if you originally answered you did not receive stimulus payments your amendment would also state that.
In another part of the amendment interview you will indicate the entire refund you received which would include any Recovery Rebate Credits.
