I would like to file my 2016 tax return but I don't want to make a mistake and then get audited. I collected unemployment and receive child support how do I file

Child support is not taxable, so it doesn't have to be included on your Form 1040.    

Unemployment compensation does go on your Form 1040, along with any taxes you may have had withheld. 

To enter unemployment in Turbo Tax, go to Income>Unemployment>Unemployment and Paid Family Leave. 

You could use Turbo Tax Free Edition.  Here's a link to check it out.
