I was sent a letter saying that I need to verify my identity. Will that process take long after I do what they ask? I did it Friday just don't want a delay.

Sorry to have to tell you this, but it usually takes at least nine weeks to get your refund after verifying your identity.   Your only source of information will now be the IRS.

It was the state of illinois and not federal. Does that make a difference?
