I wanted to know when to expect the California 600 stimulus that was passed, it says after you filed 2020 state taxes you should see it soon for people under 30k/year.

The State of California does not have any specific date on when qualified taxpayers will receive the CALEITC. The California Earned Income Tax Credit (CALEITC) and the Young Child Tax Credit (YCTC) are state tax credits for working Californians. You must be at least 18 years old and have earned income. The amount of CALEITC you may get depends on your income and family size:

  • Have taxable earned income
  • Have a valid social security number or individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN) for you, your spouse, and any qualifying children
  • Not use “married/RDP filing separate” if married
  • Live in California for more than half the year

@Hugoluna88 The person who is filing a California State Income tax return would be the one who may qualify for the California Earned Income Tax Credit (CaLEITC.) The amount of the credit depends mostly on your earned income and number of dependents you claim.
