I want to file an amendment to my 2016 return, but turbotax is not allowing me to change my taxable scholarships from 5,000$ to the correct amount, how do I change this?

I found the correct screen that shows I have 5,000$ of taxable scholarships under less common income, however there is no option to change the value, it is just set at 5,000$ but this is not correct, I had 0$ of taxable scholarships for 2016. Since it says I have 5,000$ of taxable income here, my adjusted gross income ends up being 5,000$ higher than my actual income on my W-2 form. How can I make an amendment to my taxable scholarship amount since turbo tax is not allowing me to do this? I have attached a screen shot showing what I mean, there is no option to change this value from 5,000$ to 0$.

The taxable scholarship amount is determined by comparing the amounts that you entered in the education expenses section of your return for your scholarships received and your tuition and other expenses.  If your expenses do not exceed your scholarships, then the excess is included as taxable income.

You should re-visit the education section of your return in order to verify all of your entries and correct any errors.
