I want to efile an amend 2019 tax forms however I don't see an option to do that on TurboTax. why is that and what's the last date to submit form1040-X?

according to IRS you'll have to mail in a 2019 1040-X.

No, that's not true! IRS says they recommend e-filing over mailing on their website: https://www.irs.gov/faqs/electronic-filing-e-file/amended-returns/amended-returns

Absolutely incorrect indeed! The option to e-file 2019 and later has been published in articles from turbo tax and irs respectively for over a YEAR. In addition ive seen various tax professional forums state they have done it for their clients using intuit pro series as well as the general versions
