I want efile state tax

You can e-file your state return(s) after your federal return is accepted.  Your state return will show a status of incomplete if you filed your federal return by itself (or with another state). 

The IRS started accepting 2016 tax returns January 23.  TurboTax will send you an email when the federal tax return has either been accepted or rejected by the IRS.

Your state return will not transmit until all the forms and schedules included in the return are available for filing.  See this TurboTax support FAQ for state forms availability.

To access your state returns, after filing your federal return please follow these steps: 

1. On the Overview page, click on My TurboTax > My Tax Timeline.  [See Screenshot #1, below.]
2. Click on Continue my [state] return.  [Screenshot #2]
3. If you have not completed your state return, click on the State Taxes tab.  If you have completed your state return, click on the Review tab and go through the prompts to file your state return.  [Screenshot #3]

My federal has been accepted already and my return has been issued. I have tried to access my state return but it just says that its ready to be printed and mailed. It doesnt give me an option to efile.

If you haven't already, go back into your state return, go through the screen, and then try to review and e-file.

I tried that and it doesn't even give me the option to efile.

I do not see an option to continue my state taxes. The Federal has been accepted already.

What I did is clicked ‘add another state’ and then this gets you back to the normal screen to fix whatever’s going on.

I have nothing to fix though I just can’t do anything with my state taxes

I didn’t think I had to fix anything either, but you can submit them again this way too
