I've received my State refund . .twice . .should I just wait? or is there a number I can call to tell them to back out the extra deposit?

Received double refund from State . .its in Pending status but tomorrow morning it will finalize . .should I just wait until they realize they have double deposited . .or can I call a number  and have them back out the extra deposit??

Wait until you are sure the money has been deposited to your account.  It is a bit odd for the state to pay twice and it may just be something in the banking system that makes it look like a double deposit.  

If it IS deposited twice - DON'T SPEND IT!  You don't say which state you are in, but you should write a check to the "Department of Revenue" and send it with a letter explaining you received two refunds.   Don't do it immediately, but don't forget, either.   Sometimes the state will catch an error and reverse it on their own.  Give it a couple of weeks.

Thank you . .yes will do!  It did show (2) deposits . .but they were in a "Pending" so I waited and the deposit finally cleared showing only (1) actual deposit . .that was so weird . .but glad its cleared.  Thanks again.
