I used the AOC for 2 past returns. Can i amend these returns and claim the lifetime credit instead and use the AOC on future returns?

My daughter got an associate degree at a cheaper community college. Her plans have changed and now wants a 4 year degree. Can I amend past returns and change the AOC to the lifetime learning credit and regain 2 years of the AOC to use on future returns at the more expensive college?

Yes, you can.

Just FYI, if you've already filed your 2018 return, you'd need to wait for it to complete processing before amending it.
