I thought I was getting my refund through direct deepest but I recieved a check yesterday

Did you recheck your routing and acct numbers?  I believe if there is an issue, a paper check will be issued.

If you had a typo in the routing or checking account number and your financial institution rejected the deposit, the IRS then issues a paper refund check.
